Shorba Bone Broth is owned by Vancouver-based chef Mithalee Rawat.
Following the success of her first pop-up, Shorba Broth Bar, founder and chef Mithalee Rawat threw herself into building her brand and getting the word out. She worked with the lovely folks at Piquant Marketing to develop a strategy focused on online sales and outreach to brick-and-mortar stores, and the team that created the brand guide hired me to help with print design, illustration and web development.
There are three key pieces: the print materials to send to potential buyers, the e-commerce-ready website to attract retail customers and a set of eye-catching, versatile illustrations to tie it all together. Using the new brand colour, I created a suite of hand-drawn illustrations to showcase the traditional ayurvedic ingredients Mithalee uses in her broth. Next came the sell sheet—a key part of the overal marketing strategy. And finally came the e-commerce site. Using Piquant's mockups, I created a custom Wordpress theme and integrated WooCommerce functionality to create an easy-to-use online shop.
