Tanya Boteju is an English teacher and emerging writer based in Vancouver, BC. first book, a YA novel titled Kings, Queens, and In-Betweens, launches this spring with Simon and Schuster.
Tanya needed an internet home for her book so she could let readers know where to buy it, promote her upcoming launch and keep track of press.
The cover of the book features bright colourful illustrations of the beautiful queers who make up the cast of characters, so we wanted to really show them off. I drew the colour palette straight from the book jacket and cut out some of the figures to anchor the layouts of the different pages. Because the overall design was simple, I built it using Make theme adding a touch of custom code to get it looking exactly the way we wanted.
